Christmas on the square

Almost 2 weeks ago I went to Christmas on the Square, it was a fantastic event during which you could visit some of the Georgian houses around Merrion Square and enjoy the festive atmosphere. I took a few pictures and there are actually some wonderful gift ideas in there. Have a look!

Number 22 hosted 'Food on the Square' with a selection of Irish food businesses selling some of their products.

Alice from Cocoa Atelier had a beautiful display of macarons and some of their Christmas products.

A lady from Cake cafe had a great selection including aprons, tea towels and hampers.

Hansel and Gretel's baked goods were very tempting, I like the packaging of their Christmas puddings.

There was also a Coppa pop up café at No 63 for people who wanted to grab some lunch or a piece of cake.

My favourite was definitely the pop up Irish design shop, it was filled with beautiful Irish made products.

I was too early for the Hennessy tastings that were taking place downstairs but I took a picture while I was passing by.

In the upstairs room, here are some of the things that caught my eye...

Wooden boards from Little Hill Design, a company specialising in hardwood timber products based in co. Waterford.

Ursula Celano's products are colourful and all her designs are so Irish, they are great gifts or fantastic souvenirs for visitors to Ireland.

Jennifer Slattery makes beautiful napkins, placemats, table runners and many other printed or embroidered pieces.

Klickity designs contemporary products like this very cool fruit block.

I absolutely love Artysmarty's accessories, especially the little teacup brooches!

I felt a bit special that day when I could see what was going on behind these beautiful Georgian doors...

It is one of my favourite areas of Dublin city centre after all.
