Ballymaloe Cookery School

In January 2015 I left Mr. FFID and my little flat in Dublin to do the intensive 12 Week Certificate Course in world-renowned Ballymaloe Cookery School and Organic Farm in Shanagarry Co. Cork.

While there I was lucky enough to learn from the amazing lecturers Darina Allen, Rory O’Connell and Rachel Allen along with a fantastic team of experienced cooking teachers.

If you’d like to know what it’s like to be a Ballymaloe culinary student you can read my weekly series of blog posts below:

2015: What's next for FFID?

Week 1: From Dublin to Ballymaloe Cookery School

Week 2: Learning from the Butter Queen of Ireland

Week 3: "We're only inhibited by our fear of failure"

Week 4: Time Flies When Cooking is Fun

Week 5: "If I was minister for health I would ban the sliced pan"

Week 6: Halfway Through

Week 7: Tarts and Exam Results

Week 8: Steak, Pasta, Veggie Food and a School Tour

Week 9: Only 3 Weeks Left

Week 10 & 11: The World is Your Oyster

Week 12: Exams and Farewells
