ABOUT

Welcome to French Foodie in Dublin (FFID)!

I’m Ketty Quigley, a French-born lady who moved to Dublin in 2004. I fell in love with an Irish man (referred to as Mr. FFID on this blog) and never left this wonderful little island!

I started this blog in 2012 as a journal of my food experiences and to spread my love about Dublin’s food scene. I always pay for my meals (unless stated otherwise, I sometimes attend press events) and only write about places I’m happy to recommend, be it a fancy restaurant or a hidden gem of a café. Since I started, the blog has won various awards and has been widely featured in many Irish publications.

I have worked in the travel industry for many years and travelled to 40 countries before starting my own food tour business in 2013. I run Delicious Dublin Tours and I was honoured to be one of Fáilte Ireland's 21 Irish food champions from 2016 to 2019. I'm a Ballymaloe Cookery School graduate and I did the intensive 12 Week certificate course in 2015.  I have an insatiable appetite for all things food-related and I completed a Masters in Gastronomy and Food Studies in 2019.

Food is my passion, I love cooking in my little kitchen in Dublin, discovering great places to eat in this fabulous city and sharing these experiences with others.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog!

I want to keep FFID as honest and authentic as possible. All my meals in restaurants/cafes are paid for by yours truly and I never tell staff I’m a food blogger. I never announce my visit to restaurants/cafes on social media.

I do sometimes accept and keep free products, services, travel and event tickets from companies and individuals. In this case I always put a disclaimer at the end of the post if I decide to write about it.

All the reviews are based on my personal experience and of course readers don’t have to agree with everything I write. However, I try to keep this personal space positive, therefore if you had a bad experience with a place I’d recommend you give your feedback directly to them.
