Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas is approaching fast and it's time to start buying Christmas presents for your favourite food lovers. This is a list of my personal recommendations including things I own or I wouldn't mind getting from Mr. FFID (nothing wrong with dropping some hints here on my blog).

1. The Steak Box - James Whelan Butchers (€99)
A present any meat lover would love to find under the Christmas tree. This box includes 4 fillet steaks, 2 T-bone steaks, 2 rib eye steaks, 6 bavette steaks, 2 striploin steaks, 2 sirloin steaks and 8 steak burgers.

2. Ballymaloe Cookery School Gift Vouchers
You can buy a voucher for a specific course or package or else purchase a voucher worth a certain amount. Anyone who loves cooking would really appreciate a little time in Ballymaloe Cookery School, trust me!

3. A Kitchen in France, Mimi Thorisson
Mimi Thorisson is a food blogger based in Medoc in France. She has the most beautiful blog Manger and her first cookbook is a collection of her delicious French recipes.

4. Kenwood Standmixer (€300)
If you're feeling generous, this stylish & funky Kenwood stand mixer would be the dream of any home baker!

5. Delicious Dublin Tours Gift Voucher (€47)
This is a voucher for my food tour of Dublin, if someone in your family or one of your friends would enjoy spending a Saturday eating their way around Dublin with yours truly and a group of food lovers, get them a voucher!

6. Kusmi Tea Wellness Tea Sampler Box (€26)
This is a great gift box for anyone who enjoys drinking tea and who would like to detox after the Christmas season!

7. Japanese Food Made Easy, Fiona Uyema (€25)
I thoroughly enjoy following the adventures of Irish woman Fiona Uyema, an expert in Japanese food. She recently released her first cookbook this year where she demystifies Japanese cooking for you, how cool is that?

8. 777 Gift Voucher
777 is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin and they have gift vouchers available to purchase. It's hip, the food is delicious and the margaritas are amazing!

9. A Simply Delicious Christmas, Darina Allen
A great Christmas cookbook which has been reedited last year for its 25 anniversary. You will find all the Christmas classics and favourites along with many modern recipes by the queen of Irish butter.

10. Magimix food processor (€190)
This is another brilliant tool in the kitchen, compact and great for blending, chopping, whisking and more.

11. Fresh, Donal Skehan (€19.99)
Donal Skehan's latest book features simple, healthy recipes and as usual the food photography is stunning.

12. TkMaxx Gift Card
I find TKMaxx to be one of the best shops for finding great cookware and brilliant tools for the kitchen. A gift card is just perfect for someone who likes a bargain.

13. Le Creuset Casserole
They come in different sizes and shapes, they aren't cheap but they last forever and are the best for cooking stews, curries and other hearty dishes.

14. Nopi, Ottolenghi and Scully
I recently reviewed Nopi on this blog and can't recommend it highly enough, especially if you know an Ottolenghi fan.

15. Etto gift voucher
Another of my favourite restaurants in Dublin, I absolutely love Etto. The food and the service is consistently excellent!
