Café crush: Love is Art

I don't drink coffee but I got into the habit of having a matcha latte when I need to a little boost in the afternoon. The other day I was on the Northside of Dublin city centre and REALLY needed a matcha latte but wasn't sure of where I could find one on that side of the Liffey. Luckily I remembered seeing one pictured on social media in a café that I'd never visited called Love is Art and decided to give it a go.

I would have never walked into that little café off Capel street if my matcha latte craving hadn't been so unbearable that day but oh, I'm so glad I did.

Love is Art is all kind of cuteness, it's like stepping into someone's (quite messy) living room and it's so cosy that you don't want to leave.

Unlike many places in Dublin it has real chairs (not uncomfortable stools) and you don't feel rushed to leave.

I was by myself on my first visit but all the little ornaments hanging from the ceiling and hanging on the walls kept me occupied while I drank what must be the most delicious matcha latte in Dublin.

I loved the place so much that I brought my friend with me on Saturday afternoon that same week and she loved it too.

They have all sorts of hot drinks and even an iced matcha, which I'm yet to taste. My friend had their blueberry cheesecake which was pretty decent and they have lots of cakes in their display.

If I were ever able to open my own little café it would be like Love is Art: small, cosy, welcoming and full of quirkiness. Another little hidden gem on Dublin's Northside.
